That's Daft Punk at the bottom left, next to the
Rocketeer, and just below a couple of Andy Warhols.
Busta Rhymes- Touch ItPitchfork panned this track a couple weeks ago, but I've always found their hip-hop reviews fairly unreliable (i.e. I only pay attention to
Hardly Sean). Swizz Beats samples final four bars of Daft Punk's vodocoded frag solioquy to technology, then slows it down to about 50bpm. The phrase words "daft punk hip-hop" (in any order) pretty much do it for me, but Busta comes pretty hard on the track, making up for his lacklaster performance on the soundalike "Ass on Fire" back on the Neptunes compliation. The song has the old Chad and Pharrell scary shit minimalism going on, but could be mistaken for the new wave of "let's only use four sounds" crunk that's so popular these days.
I've got a fairly hot blend that mixes the original "Technologic" sample, "Wait" and this song, but I rarely get it right.
